A little less than $16,000 from a fifteen million dollar state grant is going toward the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation. The money will help support the Starved Rock Country Festival of the Arts.

Gov. Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity say the Tourism Attraction and Festivals Grant supports tourism entities that were hit hard by the pandemic. The grant funding comes from the American Rescue Plan. The foundation is one of 41 other tourism entities that are receiving some of the grant money.
