Support the Chetek Chain of Lakes fishery and local organization Walleyes for Chetek by attending the annual Labor Day weekend raffle drawing fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 4.
The event will once again take place at Gilligans, beginning at 2 p.m., and will feature a variety of raffle prizes, including gun raffles, paddle raffles, various door prizes, silent auction items, Green Bay Packers tickets, a kayak giveaway, music and more. A Traeger pellet grill, an Owen Knutson Memorial fishing rod, a Grizzly cooler and several other items will also be raffled off.
Now in its 20th year, Walleyes for Chetek relies on funding from the event to purchase large fingerling walleyes that are stocked into the Chetek Chain of Lakes. In Sept. 2022, the local organization is slated to stock 15,000 large fingerlings into the Chetek Chain.
During its 20 years of existence, Walleyes for Chetek has purchased and released more than 120,000 large fingerling walleyes at a cost of approximately $196,000 for the 15 years it has stocked the Chetek Chain.
Be sure to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win this year’s grand prize of $2,000.
