Alpha Motors joins hands with seven cool brands to create the coolest Overlanding package of the EV world.

Overlanding has always been an exciting arena for motorists. Over the years we have come across some really cool Overlanding rigs, and most of them use trucks like the Ford F-150, and sturdy SUVs like the Toyota Sequoia as the base. Then we also have cool trailers from makers like Airstream that are droll-worthy to look at. But with the advent of electric vehicles, there has been a misconception that the essence of Overlanding rigs is degrading. But that's not true.

And Alpha, a Californian EV company is rectifying all the doubts about Overlanding and electric vehicles with their line-up of cool neo-retro offerings. And the latest to join the cool Alpha line-up is called the CAMP (Collaborative Adventure Mobility Platform). This creation uses the Alpha REX off-road-ready SUV as the base and builds a cool future-ready Overlanding package around it.

And to make this package a lot more fun and engaging, Alpha Motors has joined hands with seven cool lifestyle and equipment manufacturing companies. The bolt-on trailer packs enough goodies for you to stay off the grid for quite some time. But for now, this collaborative creation is merely a rendering. But with all the practical and cool goodies it packs, we sure wish that Alpha gives it the green light for the real world!

Alpha Motors joins hands with seven cool brands to create the coolest Overlanding package of the EV world.

The Alpha CAMP concept has been pitched as a cool Overlanding package of the future. EVs have mostly been misunderstood as being boring and silent. And with the CAMP concept, Alpha wants to change that for the Overlanding community.

To help them with this project, seven cool lifestyle and outdoor equipment and component manufacturing companies have joined hands to make this a cool project. The bunch includes brands like Rolling Stone Korea, DMOS Collective Inc., Equipt Expedition Outfitters, Onyx Coffee Lab, Free & Easy, KC Lights, and Black Rhino Wheels.

Each of these companies has contributed to the build with their cool products. The SUV has a large cargo basket on the roof which houses two Alubox aluminum cases by Equipt Expedition Outfitters, each with a capacity of 42 liters. The front fascia of this Overlanding SUV gets garlanded with a line of Gravity LED PRO6 lights by KC Lights.

The doors of this SUV have been replaced with rugged-looking tubular doors which flaunt Racing Red DSMO Deltra Pro Shovel clipped onto it. The visual appeal of this Overlanding setup is further elevated with beefy BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM3 tires wrapped around 17-inch Black Rhino Fuji Wheels. As for the rest of the cool bits on this futuristic Overlanding experience, Alpha has focused on an interesting trailer package.

The camper that comes attached to this Alpha concept can very well sustain you off the grid for quite some time. The Alpha SUV gets a cool teardrop trailer in tow that packs a lot of interesting goodies, that include products from the remaining collaborators of the CAMP prototype.

The trailer comes with an extender attached to it that can open up to a mini-house on the go. It comes equipped with a grille set and folding picnic tables. The extender layout is taken care of using a yurt that is neatly hidden as it comes in the same shade as the rooftop tent.

The yurt walls are removable which helps open up the trailer to a more "open" experience. The yurt houses a king-size platform bed that is also a safe bet when out in the wild, as it is elevated from the ground. The trailer also flaunts a Move Mug by ONYX Coffee Lab, a wacky Don't Trip Drip SS t-shirt by Free & Easy, and visual treats by Rolling Stone Korea.

The CAMP concept is based on the Alpha Rex SUV which is one of the cooler Adventure Series offerings by the Californian automaker. The doors have been replaced with tubular ones. The rear half has been taken off for a pick-up layout. This section is further reinforced with a triangular bed bar for added safety. This off-road-ready SUV is quite imposing as it stands 68 inches tall, 78 inches wide, and 190 inches long. But like most of the EVs from Alpha, this is also a rendering for now.

And so is the Alpha CAMP concept. We absolutely love what Alpha has been pitching over the last year. But the fact that only the Alpha Wolf has debuted in the prototype form in the real world, is quite irritating, to be frank. But then again, the likes of Lucid Air and Rivian offerings were all once prototypes. We hope that Alpha carries forward all the rugged appeal in its EVs when they are finally ready for deployment.

And as for the CAMP package, it sure is a compelling rendering for now. We just hope that the collaborative efforts and package content breaks through to the real world, sometime in the next two years. And till then, let's droll over these well-detailed renderings.
