Harbinger Motors Inc. plans to introduce itself to the masses at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show. The California-based electric vehicle startup company is basing its initial product line around an electric stripped chassis and cab chassis designed for Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles. By late 2023, the company also hopes to pilot a small set of vehicles; before beginning volume production – in Michigan – by 2024. Notably, Harbinger’s vehicles will offer a proprietary ‘eAxle’ that combines the motor, gearbox and inverter as one integrated unit. The company expects to scale quickly and is currently "venture-backed."

In 1997 Métis entrepreneur Sean McCormick founded Manitobah Mukluks to create a brand that could benefit Indigenous communities. Now, 25 years later, the company continues to sell authentic, Indigenous-designed products that return value to Indigenous communities. Its (IWC-manufactured) movement contains 21 jewels and boasts a 120-hour power reserve. Retailing for $19,600, the watch arrives as part of IWC’s new Portofino Collection.

This limited-edition series includes a boning knife, Prudhomme and cleaver. All three knives feature high-carbon steel and are shown on Down The River Forge’s website with custom green handles – though the brand has been known to harness a variety of woods and stones across its work. For example, recent creations have included everything from Applejack Dymalux to turquoise to brown curly maple. The Hunter-Chef Series currently retails for $1,025 – with several other specialty knives retailing on the site for $225 – $500.
